The safety of children and equipping our volunteers is of utmost importance here at Good Shepherd Community Church.  Because we place such a high priority on the safeguarding of children and volunteers, any adult, 16 or older, working with minors must complete our Safe Kids Training class. This class takes about an hour and reviews the policies and procedures of Good Shepherd Church and School.  All volunteers will also be asked permission to complete a criminal background check.  All information is confidential. Training and background checks must be completed before an individual is permitted to work with minors at GSCC. We also offer an Extreme Team Training for our youth, ages 11-15 that would like to volunteer in the classroom. This training usually follows the adult sessions and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Contact Mindy for more information.

Safe Kids OnLine Review

Safe Kids On Line Review is for those who have completed a training class. Every three years all volunteers working with minors must go through the Review training. To help in this process, we have developed an On Line Review Training module. To complete your online review, click on the videos below. After completing the videos, you will be asked to complete a brief quiz. Total time of completion is about 25-30 minutes.

1. Child Protection as the Foundation of Your Ministry

2. A Victim’s Story

3. Supervising Scenarios

4. Responding to an Allegation

Take this QUIZ AFTER watching the above videos.

Once you have completed the videos and the quiz, print the three forms below, fill them out and return them to the church.
