We value seeing God’s body thriving, growing, and being conformed to the image of Christ. Sometimes life circumstances and sin can get in the way of our sanctification, so we want to walk alongside you on your journey of maturing. We would love to support and care for you in whatever stage of life you are in, whether you are working through marital strengthening, loss of a loved one, or any other challenges.

Due to the pandemic, Celebrate Recovery is still meeting at 7 PM on Friday nights but only in small groups. We are also not offering childcare at this time.
A biblically-based, Christ-centered ministry of recovery not only serving our church family, but also reaching out to our community, offering real help and hope.
Each weekly meeting begins with praise and worship in a large group, followed by either a lesson, personal testimony, or a special guest speaker. Then small groups gather that are gender and topic specific. General Celebrate Recovery is for adults 18+. Childcare is available for ages 2 through grade 5, with a maximum cost per family of $8 ($4/child).
Fridays at 7 PM in the North Auditorium.
How to Get Involved: No sign up necessary, just show up!
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. “Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”
GriefShare will meet weekly this Fall to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Classes at Good Shepherd will begin Sunday, September 20, in the Green Room, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Cost for class materials are $30. You can pay when you come to the class.
The class will meet through Sunday, December 13th but will not meet Sunday, November 29th.
Marriage is good gift from God, and as such we want to steward that gift well. Whether you and your significant other are considering marriage, engaged, or married, we want to come alongside your relationship to help prepare, strengthen, or restore your relationship.
You can contact our Care Pastor, Bryant Strot, below to get more information, be connected to mentors, or meet with a pastor.
Pastoral contact: Meeting with a pastor is an integral part of planning for a thriving marriage. To request a pastoral contact or information about your upcoming wedding plans with a pastor from Good Shepherd, please contact the church office at (503)663-5050
Premarital Coaching: Trained couples at church spend eight sessions with engaged couples to develop tools for building a marriage that thrives and lasts a lifetime. This program uses the book and workbook Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts by Les and Leslie Parrot. To request a mentor couple and learn more, contact the church office, or contact us here.
Whether you are engaged, in a satisfying season of marriage, on a bit of a plateau, or in a time of marital discouragement and distress, Good Shepherd has resources for strengthening your relationship. Our church offers a wonderful experience to engaged couples preparing for marriage. But did you know we also have trained, seasoned mentor couples to come alongside of you as a couple to help you when your marriage journey is difficult and needs a glimmer of hope? Or your marriage relationship just needs a few tools to move from good to great?
Please connect with the Marriage and Family Department at the church or call Tom and Racky Souter at (503) 380-9575. They’d love to share a bit about our mentoring ministry and answer any questions you may have!
