Greece 2 Team – Update #10
We wrapped up our final day working and serving in camp today (Thursday). We are all tired and, yet, quite thankful for what we just experienced and accomplished over the past three weeks because of God’s spreading goodness.
We then had a wonderful final meal made by our Dutch neighbors and fellow co-laborers in this work – now friends – from across the courtyard. These friends, who refer to themselves as ‘Dutchies’ (so apropos and playful), have been a beautiful example of Christ’s body in action. We have been tremendously encouraged and edified throughout.
There were other wonderful friends and fellow expat workers, too, who also contributed in so many positive ways. Similar to our Dutchie friends and their sending organization, CRR, the group known as i58 from mostly Pennsylvania, have also been wonderful, too. It’s been fun to seek to mutually edify one another in this critical work of serving those beautiful and precious people who are so desperately displaced.
We anticipate a great time of debriefing over the next three days in Athens. Please be in prayer for that and that we would be willing to be more like Jesus throughout the entirety of the process.
Here is a link of some of the approved-and-okay-to-post stock photos from Eurorelief to show you some of the places we worked and served. Though we’re not in them, hopefully it provides an idea. All photo credit goes to Eurorelief.
