Greece: Porto Asto Team Update #2

Thank you to all our supporters for your prayers and financial support! Without each of you, we wouldn’t be here right now, getting ready to start our time at the refugee camp.

Day One – Travel Day
Our travel day was long and tiring but we are happy there weren’t any issues with flights or luggage. Dan Vorn was waiting for us and after we got the cars, we had another 2-hour drive to Porto Astro. We quickly got our room assignments and all settled in for a much needed nights rest.

Day Two – Acclimation Day
Day two started with a great team time where we shared some fruit and pastries for breakfast, followed by a time of prayer and conversations of the work to come. We were then taken on a quick trip to Delphi to visit the old ruins. It was a special time to learn about some of the area’s cultural history. We then returned to do a quick rejuvenating dip in the Mediterranean before we called it a night.

Prayer Requests

  • We are so grateful that everyone is healthy. Please pray for each team member’s continued stregnth and health.
  • We are starting to prepare tomorrow where the camp will be held and then starting on the following day.
  • Please also pray for the refugees who will be attending the camp. Pray that their hearts will be open to their loving God and father.
  • Pray for opportunites for our team to display and express our God’s love for them.
  • Finally, pray for the remaining support to come in for our team members.

Thank you all.

Sincerely,

Porto Astro, Greece Team
