Greece:Samos Team Update #2

Hello prayer warriors!

Our evening, discussion and prayers, revolved around the fact that wildfires are happening in several spots here in Greece, and some flights were delayed at the Athens airport today due to smoke

We continue in training for the next two days and then head to several villages on the island of Samos for our mission. Samos has a residential population of 32,000 so we are praying for many encounters for spiritual conversations, and it is our prayer that a Bible study in a Greek home will begin soon as a result. Other people groups we are likely to encounter include expatriates , tourists, and refugees from the camp on the island. We pray that God would prepare hearts and draw people on Samos to himself.

Dan Vorm and the six of us from Good Shepherd Community Church are the team Helenic Ministers/Oikos is sending to Samos. The 13 other teams going to communities scattered all over the country of Greece. In addition to Sonos, teams are also being sent to Pilio, Leonidio, Kefalonia, Tripoli, Theologos, Serres, Kompi, Poros, Edessa, Loannina, Limni, Astros, and Lerapetra.

The town of Lerapetra is on the island of Crete and is being impacted by a wildfire. 5000 tourist were just instructed to leave as a precaution, but this will not hinder the team being sent to Crete. Please be praying for the town and the Oikos team that is going to be there. Pray that God would move in Samos and for the 12 other towns in Greece, where teams will be evangelizing.

Thank you for your prayers!
