Local Outreach

Good Shepherd has a long history of sending and supporting our people all around the world. We send our best with the goal of furthering the gospel and strengthening the body of Christ.

The mission of Local Outreach is to mobilize the people of Good Shepherd by providing opportunities and encouragement to share the words, works and ways of Jesus in their community. Local Outreach is relationship driven.

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!

DARLENE DOMENIGONI

Darlene has been mentoring women for over 30 years and working in anti-trafficking efforts since 2011, coordinating donated resources from churches and community partners for victims. In 2013, she developed a mentoring program for sexually exploited survivors and served as the Director for 4 years. Darlene is currently the Director of Mentor Support Collaborative, a team of trauma informed leaders dedicated to developing healthy leaders and training and equipping the faith community.

Darlene is also the President of Bridging The Gap-Oregon, a nonprofit which helps to meet the needs of the most vulnerable through a collaborative effort among community partners.

Chris Green

Chris is an avid student of the Scriptures and has spent nearly 23 years teaching Bible and Apologetics first to college students and then to first responders. Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Multnomah University. Chris’ studies included Worldview, Apologetics, Bible and Theology. Chris served several years as a Pastor at Sunset Presbyterian Church. In 1998 Chris began in the emergency services as a Reserve Officer and Chaplain where he served 12 years with a number of Police and Fire agencies. He worked with the Ministers and Police Program as the liaison to pastors and ministries with Portland Police Chief Mark Kroeker. He worked as the administrator of two different medical centers before coming to Responder Life full-time in 2005, as a co-founder of Responder Life in 2010. In 2013, Chris joined the Navigators to continue working to build disciple makers in the first responder culture around the U.S.

Chris is married to Kristy, and they are the parents to five sons and one daughter, Cameron, Kellan, Keenan, Cai, Kade and Kenzie. Chris and his family currently live near Portland, Oregon. Chris currently leads pioneering and launching for the U.S. Navigators Military | First Responder Mission.

John & Amy Rozzelle

John leads the Portland metro team with the vision of reaching every student on every campus with the gospel. Their hope is all 278,000 high school and college students in the area will have the opportunity to know Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and be equipped to go and help others do the same.

Amy serves on the Culture & Mission leadership team as the International Training Coordinator. Her team focuses on the intercultural and cross-cultural development of Cru staff serving both in the U.S. and abroad, so that they reflect the beauty and diversity of the body of Christ.
