Romania Team Update #2

First of all, thank you so much for your ongoing prayers. They were definitely felt throughout our travels. We are happy to say we arrived on time and with all our luggage! (we unexpectedly had to check everything in PDX, which caused a little anxiety for some of us.😬 We were met at the airport by our Romanian contact Christian. He is one of the pastors of the church here in Megidia as well as is on staff with Josiah venture. He and his wife Estarah, welcomed us into their home for dinner the night we arrived…seriously five star meal, which was very much appreciated after 24 hours of airplane and airport food. We all slept very well on Friday and as a team have felt little to know jet lag, which is such a blessing as we are 10 hours ahead here.❤️
Saturday was our first day of training. We met again with Estarah and Christian and they shared on how God is moving in Romania as well as their vision for the JV camp. We were all very moved as they shared their personal stories on how they both felt called to missions and left all behind to move to Medgidia. They shared their personal vision, to see “a movement of God among the youth of Romania that finds its home in a local church and transforms society“. Their hearts and passion to reach the youth of Romania is so inspiring, and we are beyond blessed to get to serve with them!!
Later in the day, we got to meet with the other church leaders/members that we will be working with at the English camp. We have continued to be blessed with kindness, hospitality as well as ever present joy in all we have met so far. We finished Saturday night with a short drive to the Black Sea. We all had so much fun swimming and playing volleyball with the youth from the church!
Tomorrow, we get to attend the local church service and then we head to camp!
Please continue to pray for our team unity as we head to camp, for safe travels as it is an 8 hour drive, that God continues to prepare our hearts to step out in boldness, share our faith with the love of Christ with the students!!
