Daniel serves as our Children’s Pastor, overseeing all of the GS Kids department. GS Kids ministers kids (birth-5th grade) and their parents through groups that meet every weekend and during the week.
Daniel has been married to his wife, Dallas, for 16 years. They have two adopted sons. God led Daniel and his family to Arkansas, Las Vegas, and then landed them in Oregon. Daniel has a degree in biomedical engineering, which means he’s smarter than most.
Daniel has been with us for 4 years and we’re lucky to have him!
I have the privilege of overseeing several areas of ministry here at Good Shepherd, including: Good Shepherd School, finance, technology, administration, facilities and food service. While serving in a finance and administrative role for several years in a large church in the Midwest, God unexpectedly opened the door to continue serving in a similar role here at Good Shepherd – which also graciously provided an opportunity to renew a close relationship and proximity to our extended family.
My wife, Linda, and I have been married for 41 years. We have two adult children and three granddaughters. Our oldest child, Rachel, is married to Bob Bryant, the Lead Pastor here at Good Shepherd. Our son, Stephen, resides in South Bend, Indiana.
I have been a part of Good Shepherd for 20 years and have served on the staff for 16 of those years. The goal of Ministry to Women is to provide community and inspiration for women of Good Shepherd as they grow in their relationship with God and come to know and love him more. We have a dynamic Women’s Bible study where women come to know God through his word. We have an exciting mom’s ministry where mothers of young children can enjoy relationships with each other and receive encouragement in parenting, marriage and spiritual growth.
The community of Good Shepherd has been significantly impactful in the lives of our family. We have been blessed to share life with good friends and it has marked us. We have experienced true spiritual growth that has shaped our worship and view of God and has made the difference in the decisions we make and the ministry we have.
I am married to Greg Layton and we own a dog training business. We have three grown children and two grandchildren.
