Thailand Team Update #5

Some of the most touching moments of this trip aren’t found in the big events, they’re found in the ordinary moments spent together.

Today was one of those days. We laughed with students, shared conversations with the staff, and simply enjoyed being present with people we have grown to love over the years. For those of us returning to Seed of Hope, it feels less like coming to a ministry and more like coming back to friends.

This morning we joined the staff in harvesting rice starters that will be planted with the students families on Saturday. It was a privilege to work alongside them, knowing that even simple tasks become opportunities to build friendships and worship together by working and serving one another.

Tonight was a great night as we kicked off our evening program with the students. Our first skit in the five-part story of Joseph was filled with plenty of laughter, but it also introduced a powerful truth, that even when life takes unexpected turns, God is present and His plans are always good. Watching the students engage, laugh, and connect with the story reminded us why we’re here.

As the week continues, we’re thankful that God is doing far more than the projects on our schedule. He’s deepening friendships, opening hearts, and reminding all of us that ministry is ultimately about people. Thank you for praying for our team. It’s been hot, and the team has been amazing at pushing though. We are seeing God at work in ways both big and small, and we’re grateful to be part of what He’s doing here at Seed of Hope.
