Thailand Team Update #6

Wow! Busy couple days for the Thailand team. Thank you for your continued prayers on connection with the kids and staff here in Thailand. We have been super encouraged by the sense of community the Thai people have for each other and for us.
The team has completed several more days of our program with the students digging into the story of Joseph. The skits have been super fun introducing the characters of Potiphar and Pharaoh. God’s lesson we have aimed to highlight is his promise to be with us always, even in the midst of trials; he even bestows gifts to his children and blesses us along the way.
The lesson was clear to us on Saturday, as we spent the morning and afternoon with all of the families at Seed of Hope Ministry planting the rice starters we collected on Wednesday. The Lord blessed us with minimal heat and a clear day planting. Nearly the moment we finished planting, it began to rain—hard. Just another one of his incredible gifts evident in his timing.
Saturday also involved the team cooking a meal for the Seed of Hope families, a taco bar, which everyone gave an astounding “ARROY”-the Thai word for delicious. We wrapped up the evening with a glow in the dark dance party, which the kids absolutely adored —some of them even wore their light up gear to church on Sunday. We also were blessed to spend church with the Seed of Hope families Sunday morning and spend time in worshiping our savior. The service was lovely; including a message, worship, a skit from the kids, and some testimonies. Two of our team members were able to share a short testimony to the congregation as well.
As our time is nearing, God is making it clear to us the importance of community and what we are doing here. He’s helping us make a lasting impact, whether in the rice we planted or the connections we make, we are helping aid in a greater purpose- encouraging and furthering His kingdom! Thank you for continuing prayer that we can end our time at Seed of Hope smoothly, that our program will be impactful and that our love for the Lord will continue to be an example.
