Volunteer Certification Training
Thank you for considering serving with us! When we gather, safety is a top priority. We want to be above reproach, aware as a community, and comply with our insurance. Training and thoroughly screening volunteers are one important step we take to accomplish this goal.
How does this work?
Complete your new or renewal application and watch the required safety training video. New applicants must also submit three references that are at least 18 years old, have known you for a minimum of one (1) year and are not related to you.
After references are submitted and reviewed, you will receive an email from Checkr to start your background check. How quickly this step is completed depends on when your references submit their forms.
Once steps 1 & 2 are completed and we have a clear background check on file, you will be notified by Good Shepherd via email that your Volunteer Certification is complete and good for 3 years.
