Romania Team – Update #2

The Romania Team is now enroute! Please continue to pray with us as we ask God for His peace and grace to cover them during their travels and stay in Romania. We pray that God is exhaulted and glorified through the hands and feet of this team – amen!

From Twila Miller:

We are in the air!

We met at PDX at 8:00 AM, taking a moment to pray for our trip one last time before beginning it! Now we will see how God will answer those prayers.

Already it seems He intends to keep us on our toes! Our first flight (Portland to Chicago) was delayed by about half an hour, turning what was already a tight connection into a very hasty walk through the crowded O’Hare airport, with calls from our leaders to “Run!” every time the way was clear in front of us. Our flight was already boarding by the time we arrived at our gate – panting and sweating – but we made it, and with 20 minutes to spare before they closed boarding (in the words of our team member Lance Norquist: “We crushed it!”). We had just enough time to use the restrooms and eat some much-needed snacks before we boarded our 7 hour 47 minute-flight to Frankfurt, Germany, and we have just begun flying over the Atlantic Ocean as I write this. Already we are tired, sore, and ready to have our feet on solid ground (for a little longer than 20 minutes, anyway!), but we know this is the stuff God uses for His glory, and we want this team to glorify Him every step of the way, not just when we arrive in country!

Please pray for our final flight and arrival and for our ability to glorify God as we travel. And please pray that jet lag will not hit us too hard once we arrive in Bucharest, as we will be looking at a 10-hour time zone shift!
