Women’s Bible Study
At Good Shepherd, Women’s Bible Study is the place for women to gather, to worship, and to build relationships that go beyond the surface. Most importantly, it is a place to enrich their relationships with the living God by studying His Word together. Together, we will open Scripture that is “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” and allow it to shape our hearts and lives.
This year, we will be studying the book of Hebrews. This thought-provoking letter invites readers to see Jesus as He truly is and to respond accordingly—in faith. Throughout this study, we will encounter Jesus as the final Word of God, our Great High Priest, the Mediator of a New Covenant, and the One who faithfully leads us through every season of life.
This Bible Study will follow the inductive Bible Study Method of observation, interpretation, reflection, and application. Through this study, we will try to understand what the author intended to say to his original audience, then prayerfully discern how God’s timeless truths impact our lives today. Hebrews will challenge us, encourage us, and deepen our confidence in Christ.
Come join women ages 18+ as we discover who Jesus is and learn to follow Him together.
Women’s Bible study will have two start-up dates depending upon which day of the week you are able to come. The Tuesday Evening groups start on September 22nd and the Wednesday groups on September 23rd. You must register for a session day/time and attend that session.
- Tuesday Morning: There is one small group that meets at 6 am. Pre-recorded messages from our speakers are available.
- Tuesday Evening: Bible study groups will gather at church from 6:30-8:00 pm. Pre-recorded messages from our speakers are available.*
- Wednesday Morning: Bible study meets at the church weekly from 9:15–11:45 am and offers the opportunity to attend a large group gathering with worship and teaching. The Kid Lights children’s program is also available Wednesday mornings. Please register yourself and any kids you plan to bring for Kid Lights on the first step of the registration process.
- Pre-Established Off Campus Groups: Groups that have been together off campus and want to continue to study together.
- Zoom: There are a few options available. Please inquire for availability before registering.
- Book Only: This option is for people who are not wanting to join a group but prefer to do the study on their own. This is a $25 fee and is for the three ring binder version only.
Notebook format: Three ring binders with pockets and a limited number of coils available on a first-come/first-serve basis.
A Note for Mothers of Young Children:
We love having little ones with us and know how precious this season of motherhood is. To help create a focused and distraction-free environment for all the women attending Bible Study, we kindly ask mothers with active or on-the-go children to take advantage of our wonderful kids classes during the session.” If you have questions, please contact Maddie Kelvin, Kid Lights Coordinator.
Additional Support:
We want every woman to feel welcomed, valued, and cared for at Women’s Bible Study. If a participant has memory concerns or needs additional assistance or supervision, we ask that her family arrange for a trusted care partner or assistant to attend with her and provide the support she needs. This helps us ensure she is cared for with dignity and compassion while allowing our volunteers to serve the entire group well.

*PLEASE NOTE: the Tuesday Evening meeting time coincides with Men’s Bible Study, Middle School Group and KidsQuest & Breakout (ages 4-11). Both Men’s Bible Study and KidsQuest & Breakout require a registration and is not a drop-in class.
Mom to mom
Moms with little ones meet once a month to hear a special speaker and discuss topics on marriage and parenting. Fellowship, encouragement, mentoring, and fun is the focus of the time together. This is a free event.
Our gatherings are held on the second Thursdays of every month from 9:30-11:45 a.m. in the North Auditorium at Good Shepherd. Children’s classes are available for 0-6 yrs. This fall, our first meeting will be September 10th.
Our KidLights (Children’s classes) program is intended for birth through kindergarten and homeschooled kids through 5th grade. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate older kids who attend school.
If you plan to attend this fall, we are asking that you complete this once-a-year registration for yourself and your little ones. This will help us plan accordingly for both our mom and kid programs.
Registration is open but you only need to register once for the year.
