Thailand Team – Update #5
Each day we have play time with the children, encouragement time with the Seed of Hope staff and enrichment time in the evenings. We have covered the spiritual topics of prayer, healing, forgiveness and faith and will close out tonight talking about God’s love and the Gospel. We have also covered Dental Hygiene and the Sanctity of Life. These evenings end with a group game producing much laughter. The children have been so responsive to these messages and have shown us so much love. As we learn their stories we know we will continue to support them through prayer. It will be hard to say good-bye.
On Sunday morning, what a blessing it was to participate in the church service with Seed of Hope children and staff as well as many people from the surrounding community. We may not have understood all of it but the Holy Spirit was definitely on the move in the room with us. Three of our team members shared their testimony and their words strongly impacted everyone there. How glorious is it that although we are many miles apart and come from very different cultures, we all worship the same amazing God. Our team even performed a worship song during the service. It was just one more amazing blessing to add to our growing list.
We ended the day with an afternoon of activity including volleyball, UNO games, crafts and laughter followed by another impactful evening of learning and fun.
