Greece 2 Team – Update #7

Hello all!

As some of you have heard by now, our dear teammate, Stanley, has had to exit back home to Oregon due to some health-related concerns. He’s in good spirits and understands that God is in control, is leading, is providing, and is loving & good even when a “short-term mission trip” is cut in half from what he previously expected or anticipated.

Pray for Stanley, his wife, Nancy, and their family as he transitions back and begins the process of learning more from his medical care team back home in Oregon.

Stanley told tOdd as the two waited for their flight to Athens Tuesday morning while in the Mytilene airport (on Lesvos) that a dear friend of his had emailed him (Stanley) and encouraged him greatly by saying, in part:

“Stanley – there is no need to feel like this trip was a waste or that God didn’t use you, for starters He used you to provide your own team of prayer and financial partners which directly meant more prayer for the entirety of the team – including those who remain serving in Greece”.

What a tremendous perspective and a deeply edifying one, too, for our team.

On behalf of those who remain in Greece for another 10 days or so, we love and miss you, Stanley!!

Lastly, be in prayer, too, for the four of us that remain (Kathleen, Martha, Sandra, & tOdd) that we would have good health, team unity, and a continued drive to build up and grow and love and serve not only the others that are directly before us in this camp (from refugee to fellow expat volunteer) but one another as a team. Now that we finally have some training and repetition under our collective belts, we’re uniquely positioned to greatly assist the overall work of Eurorelief and those currently in this camp for our final nine (9) days here.

We’ll leave you with this wonderful new video from Eurorelief where it shows some great visual shots of the many places in camp where we serve as well as providing the overall scope of the work and ministry happening here.

Thank you for your prayers for Stanley and this team, all.
