Argentina Team 1 Update #2

Happy 4th of July America!! No fireworks here…

We have been diving deep into our underwater ‘Make A Splash’ VBS theme. The kids are having a ‘Whaley’ good time with their mascot Carlos and having fun memorizing this week’s Bible verse: “Whoever believes in me, as scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” – Juan 7:38

Please continue to pray for us and these children as we strive to provide a safe, exciting place where we can connect spiritually and welcome the Holy Spirit through song, dance, and enjoyment. It doesn’t matter what your native language is, smiling and laughing is the same and we have the love of God bringing us all together.

We introduced peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the children for the first time (they don’t have peanut butter here, we brought it from America) and I’ve never heard so many ‘muy bien(s)” (very good) in one place. The kids also enjoyed getting their pictures taken with Jocelyn’s Polaroid camera for a craft, it was difficult getting them to understand that the picture takes time to develop hahaha.

The Hogar director here, Vilma, was very grateful for our tangible donations. She said it was exactly what they needed! The sincere humility of receiving basic needs such as socks and underwear was equally rewarding for us as a team to experience. The LORD provides. He is faithful in His generosity. Give thanks to the LORD in all things and be anxious about nothing – Philippians 4:6.
