Colorado Team Update #2

We all made it to Colorado safely! There was a bit of a snafu with the rental cars, but we eventually got settled and made our way to camp.
On Sunday, everyone learned their work crew assignments, and since Monday they have been hard at work. Truly, the amount of effort and dedication our 6th graders have shown has been both encouraging and inspiring. They have pushed through headaches, altitude sickness, and a lack of restful sleep (there’s nothing quite like going to bed on a fully inflated air mattress and waking up on the cold floor!).
They have worked diligently landscaping yards for those who are unable to do so themselves, caring for the elderly, and spending time with children who have disabilities.
Thank you for your prayers. God is answering them. During our devotion time this evening, we talked about people who reflect God’s love in tangible ways. As we shared, so many of the people who came to mind were members of our Good Shepherd family. That is a powerful testimony to the impact you have on others.
With love, gratitude, and just a wee bit of sleep deprivation,
Lindy Grubbs
