Romania Team Update #3

We made it to Romania!
After our reservation change, 9 of us flew through Munich and 6 of us through Zurich before our last flight to Bucharest. The Munich crew had a 10 hour layover so decided to kill time (and manage to stay awake in the new time zone) by leaving the airport to see the city for a couple of hours! It was a fun little outing. We made it back to the airport, through security and to our gate with 3 hours to spare, which became 4 hours after yet another flight delay.
Meanwhile, the Zurich crew had a shorter layover and landed in Bucharest before the Munich crew even boarded! They met up with Christian, went to Chili’s, and waited patiently for the others.
Finally, everyone made it to Bucharest. Our totes that we checked at PDX with all of our camp supplies, however, did not. Gabe spent nearly the entire day communicating with the airline to figure out where they are and file a claim.
As of writing this, it’s Sunday morning here and we’re still not sure if we’ll get the supplies before we leave for camp via an 8-hour van ride late tonight. Pray for a miracle that they somehow get into our hands before we leave, or that we’re able to find replacement materials for all the weirdly specific items we need for workshops like juggling balls!
Airlines stink, God is good!
