Romania Team Update #5

Hey friends and family back home!
From our last update, we had just set off on our 8 hour van ride. 11 hours later, we finally arrived at camp. While we were all tired from the trip, we found so much excitement and energy as we were welcomed by the students and leaders at the camp. Super exciting for all of us on the team, we finally beat the Romanians in volleyball! This is the first time that has happened, so we are off to a good start. And yes that’s right, due to many delays including a van breaking down, a stop at border control for a passport check, and many quick stops, we ended up driving 11 hours.
Camp has been interesting as we have been informed that there will be no power for most of the day, several days of the camp. So definitely pray for solutions to our logistic problems. A blessing my family told me was though losing the bins has been rough for us and has caused lots of flexible solutions, with them we would not have had room for the giant generator we needed to pick up. God works in mysterious ways. It has also caused us to really have to work with the Romanian team, and each other.
We got settled in, after the long trip it was hard to stay awake. I really enjoyed getting to play and teach some of the Romanian students some card games, and getting to learn some of theirs! It has also been so great to be back seeing many familiar faces and close friends. The food as always is so amazing and in such great quantities. It is so incredible to be worshiping and while not knowing the language knowing the intent, energy, focus, and feeling. It is truly a different feeling, that I am sure just brings so much glory to the Kingdom. We heard a great message from the Romanian leaders, and went to bed as it was late.
We are so ready for our first day of workshops and seeing what that will look like, even though I think there is a universal feeling of a little stress. We miss all of our loved ones at home and are so thankful for all the prayers!
