Romania Team Update #8

To our relatives, friends, and church family,

“Buna dimineața from România!”

Every morning at camp the worship team leads in a different style of worship. This morning was English worship, and they invited members of our team to lead worship alongside the Romania leaders in English! It was a beautiful and fun morning full of collaboration and joy in the Lord, praising Him!

Today was also our final day of workshops! I am so proud of this team!!!! Even though the bins of camp supplies we planned and organized never made it, the Lord provided a way for us to pull them off! Every single team member has poured so much creativity and flexibility into making things work with minimal supplies and preparation time. Campers have enjoyed learning how to juggle and do card tricks, some survival skills [like making a tent out of sticks and making an apple crisp over the fire], and playing our version of Family Feud with Noah absolutely charming the entire camp with his charisma as our Steve Harvey. These workshops have been the perfect setting to develop meaningful connections and relationships with the Romanian students and leaders.

Our afternoon was filled with games like bucket-ball [IYKYK… looking at you GS high school group]) and a massive water balloon fight.

Tonight was a much anticipated night of the camp. The church leaders prepared an experience for the students called the labyrinth, and it is an interactive experience designed to walk students through the Gospel with interactive exhibits that make the good news all the more real and comprehensible.

At the end of the labyrinth is the prayer room, a group from our team joined the Romanian leaders in a night of prayer over students. This was a deeply rich and moving time for the students and for us. Students accepted Christ for the first time, which was the ultimate reminder of what all our efforts have been toward. Meditating on Malachi 1:11 as I sign off,

“For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.”

For His glory,

Kenzie Carter, for the team
