Serbia Team Update #4

Today was our second day of English camp and it went exceedingly well! We started the day of welcoming campers, getting to be with the specific kids we made relationships with the day prior. Nathan shared a beautiful word this morning about how intentional our team needs to be to have a successful camp. He emphasized a lot on taking today and making it a priority to meet with people, stop in the busyness and sit with our Lord.

Having gotten this at the beginning of the day, our entire team was living this out. Every break or corner I looked around there was a group of leaders taking time to praise and invite God into every situation. Since doing this and relying on the Lord through everything, we’ve had an amazing, clear view of how the Lord has been in each one of those prayers and has listened and cared for us through all of them.

Our team has made a point to reach out to every kid, whether it be a smile, opening the door, throwing a football or making a bracelet with them, a Gospel conversation, anything! This has made relationship building much better.

For our craft today we got to paint picture frames with our camp picture inside. I got to see all of the introverted and extroverted kids go up to our team and ask them to sign it. This was amazing because even the day before if we had done this, it would have been so different. It’s crazy how much the Lord has placed every inch of this camp perfectly in His hands. Through every beautiful conversation and smile. I want to emphasize how none of this is out of our own strength. The Lord has given us energy and knowledge through every single interaction and decision.

As we move into the next couple days of camp, we would love prayer! We ask if you would
please be praying for every students’ heart to be captured by our good God, we know
undoubtingly that it is possible, so we ask you pray that it is lived out. I also ask if you would be praying for our team and the local team in our busy schedules, to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance and the presence of His spirit abundantly present throughout the camp. We appreciate each and every one  of you guys, thank you for taking the time to read. We appreciate every prayer and thought toward our team.

-Maki Hibbs, for the team.
